Introduction to the Tenant Management Team

The team (the Scrutineers) have access to all information that is relevant for our role to be fulfilled. We study this information which is usually feedback from tenants and investigate other areas that we feel are important. After looking at all the aspects and analysing where there might be any areas of concern. These are then notified to NCHT, who are then given the opportunity to respond and make improvements.

Here is the value in TMT, as we sit alongside the Board and Group Management Team (GMT), we have real power in how the organisation is run. If NCHT fail to respond to recommendations without valid explanation, TMT can request the TSA to intervene. This is Resident Led Self Regulation and gives tenants real empowerment and will lead to an improvement in services for tenants.

Both New Charter and TMT have a mutual respect for each other’s role and maintain a good working relationship.

All members of TMT and NCHT believe that this is a very important structure to have in place, as it brings tenants closer to the new regulatory laws within the housing sector.

New Charter Housing Trust welcomes this as they always strive for excellence and has always encouraged tenants’ involvement.
